Our PAS 24 Certification

What is PAS 24 - Enhanced security for doorsets and windows about?

Publicly Available Specification 24 (PAS 24), published by the BSI (British Standards Institute), is a standard of testing to measure the security performance of windows and doorsets in the UK, to ensure they can resist a level of attack from an opportunistic burglar.

What does PAS 24 - Enhanced security for doorsets and windows cover?

PAS 24 specifies test methods and acceptance criteria relevant to the enhanced security performance of door sets and windows intended to resist attacks normally associated with the casual or opportunistic burglar. It applies to new door sets and windows as manufactured and prior to installation.

Certification bodies such as the BSI, operate accredited product certification schemes to provide assurance that door sets and windows meet the requirements of PAS 24.

NOTE: The security performance requirements in PAS 24:2022 are not material-specific. Nor does this PAS test component performance or installation requirements. Certification, however, does require you to meet the requirements of material-specific standards.
