Varso 1 & 2
Standing tall and proud, Varso 1 & 2 are stunning twin towers that look out on central Warsaw, Poland. Both new structures occupy Varso Place, a mixed-use development complex that features contemporary office, retail, food service, and leisure facilities. Thanks to eye-catching ConceptWall 50 glass façades from Reynaers Aluminium, the BREEAM-certified Varso buildings offer a sustainable meeting place for locals and visitors alike.
The inspiring Varso 1 & 2 towers form the beating heart of Varso Place, a thriving business and recreational hub.
Clever curtain wall solutions
In collaboration with HRA Architects, Reynaers Aluminium delivered functionally sustainable solutions for Varso 1 & 2. To ensure the two towers aesthetically complement and enhance the project’s other elements, rather than competing with them, the designers chose ConceptWall 50, our structurally glazed façade and roof system. “Our objective was aesthetic consistency, to apply one system everywhere. Compared to a window system with visibly wider profiles, ConceptWall 50 is more architectural and structural, letting in more light in the interior,” says Paweł Adamiak, Varso 1 & 2’s architect, and project manager at HRA.
ConceptWall 50 delivers stunning glass curtain walls, which gives the buildings a contemporary and streamlined feel.
At ground level, you will notice how huge and elegant glazed areas allow natural light to flood into the internal courtyards, which are open to the public. Yet ConceptWall 50 really comes into its own higher up, where both towers flaunt stunning glass curtain walls. Thanks to the system’s innovative clamping and pressure plate fixation, the curtain wall’s weight is evenly distributed across two planes. “This neat solution gives the buildings a contemporary and streamlined feel. We eliminate the need for thick and heavy panes, plus we can integrate and conceal structural elements within the design,” remarks Adamiak.
